Stalking Schumi - Part 4?
Malaysian GP 2004
Sepang, March 2004
Ada part 4 ke? Hehehe.. Takde lah, tak larat weii :) Dah cukup happy dpt signature dia at Oz GP 2004. Alhamdulillah, syukur :) (Teringat kat Zahid nyanyi lagu ni, hehehe. Sempat lagi tu!)
Of course, a pic with the Schumeister would be icing on the cake! However, one has to be realistic. Schumi walks fast and rarely stops for pictures (gilopo? Habis le kena serbu nanti!) so a signature is good enough!
Hence, the stalking target was diverted to the Sauber drivers. Being a Petronas staff that was not too difficult naturally :)
As usual, the Sauber driver signing was held in KLCC. The excitement this year is that we have a new driver - Fisi! Yaay!! New signature to collect, hehe. Next year, yet another new driver in Jacques Villeneuve. He's quite well known for his dislike in attending promotional activites though :) Tough luck JV, at Msia you will be subjected to a lot of those!
The Star, 23 March 2004 - Sauber Drivers Signing at KLCC. Me and Jules 1st in line, hehe :)
Vince and Nur Fatimah entertained us after the signing session. Double yaay! My fave AF1 student. Vince was there to promote his album and sang a duet with Nur, entitled Dugaan Cinta among other songs.
After saying goodbye to Vince, me and partner in crime (Jules) headed for BB Walk to check out a friend's (whom we met at the 2004 Oz GP - his stall was next to Marc's) booth. He's in charge of the Sauber drivers signing session at BB Walk later that evening. Hehe, mmg kitorang tak puas-puas! :) Kali ni kitorang ambik gambar je lah. Found out from the people there that earlier in the day Montoya and his wife bought a watch at KL Plaza. Aarghhh!!! :)
Later in the evening we had a choice of meeting Sato at OU2 or Ralf Schumacher at Subang Parade. We chose Ralf, hehe :)
Btw, we found out the next day from some new friends we met during the Sauber signing session that they got to take pics of Schumi at Thursday's press conference (at Pan Pac hotel I think). Aiseh, lupa langsung Schumi was scheduled for the PC on Thursday! Normally on Thursday byk team officials je involved in the PC and Schumi is usually in the Friday PC, or not at all, cos he's always expected in the Saturday PC kan, hehe. Fri-Sunday, press conference sah-sah at the track and that would be off limits naturally. Man!! What a lost opportunity! Aarghhh!! Tapi takpe.. mmg dah amat2 bersyukur. Maybe next year if ada rezeki, dapat le amik gambar ngan Schumi, hehe.
Okey... on to the GP itself!
On top of the usual F1 friends from Malaysia, friends from Switzerland, Germany and Australia flew in so there was much to do, so many people to see, so little time and such a big area to cover!!
Initially, Jules and I planned to buy a pair of Heelys for easier manoeuvring but it was too expensive lorr. Maybe for next GP, as Zahid has popularized them. Bila Zahid pakai, semangat sikit nak beli, hehe.

With my Oz mates who never fail to come to Sepang since 1999. Next year they are doing a super mammoth F1 tour : Oz, Sepang, Canada, USA n Shanghai!!

With the Petronas Motorsports (PETMOS) gang. I definitely stood out in my all red gear. Whoops! Hehehehe. Sauber Petronas team tetap disokong :)
Happynya dpt masuk garage! Had to wear non-red clothes or the PETMOS gang wouldn't allow me in! Kijam!!! Hehehe. First time I tak pakai all red on Race Day!
With family friends who came all the way from Germany for the GP.
With Jules who's decked in batik Sauber headscarf, Sauber flag and cute Sauber shirt purchased specially from Hinwil.

p/s: Yaay, Schumi won! :) My first time watching Race Day at Diamond and he wins. Best! I had K1 Gold seats too but chose to sit at Diamond dgn harapan Schumi akan menang so that I will get to see him at the podium. The right choice indeed for me that day :)
